Anyone have night sweats?

For the last couple of months I've been waking up in the middle of the night drenched even though the room is fairly cool. Does anyone else experience this regularly and is it something that I should mention to the doctor or is it normal?

I had that happen at very hormonal times- pregnancy (early on) after pregnancy...and I think that's it.

maybe you're going through a hormonal change? did you recently give birth? Ovulate? Could you be pregnant? Menopausal?

happening to me right now - the past week or so.  i'm not planning on mentioning it unless it continues for several more weeks.

I would most definitely mention that to your dr.  I am not trying to be an alarmist, but that was one of the main symptoms when they found out my brother had Hodgkins. I know it can be something very minor as well, but you need to follow up.

The only hormonal change that I can think of is giving birth but DD is 8 months old and it's only been going on for the last 4 months.

It happened to me after I had Kate and I was on almost twice the dosage of Synthroid than I should have been.  Have you been losing weight or has your heart felt like it was racing?  It's just a simple blood draw to check for hyperthyroidism.

My dad mentioned the same thing which really got me thinking that it's something that I shouldn't ignore.

well, good luck! I hope it's nothing ( I am sure it is just one of those fun fluxuations in hormones that we get to deal with !) I think it is a good idea to talk to your doc. though!

My DS is 8 months old too and I still have night sweats.  I think it's because I got my period back at 6 months.  I seem to get the night sweats during the week before my period.  It only happens for one or two nights about once a month.  I need to note when it happens though so I can keep track I guess.
