So excited!

Sorry with all the bad news going on lately with me (between Joshua being sick, me being sick and not finding a job) it was about time something good happens. So my mom has been planning a surprise bday party for my grandma's 93 birthday in Puerto Rico. I was so down because I knew we would be the only ones that wouldn't make it due to our financial situation. Well I just found out that the family is going to pay for our trip. I'm SOOO excited. I haven't been to Puerto Rico in over 12 years and all my family lives there, so I miss them so much. I can't wait! I don't think I will be able to sleep for the next month because I'm so excited and can't wait for my family to finally meet Joshua instead of just seeing him in pictures or talking to him on the phone. I just had to share this with you guys because I'm so excited.

So even though I'm SUPER excited, I'm also scared to travel with Joshua. He's never been on a plane and he's going through that tantrum stage. I don't want him to be "that kid" on the plane. LOL

Has anyone been on a plane with their LO? It would be easy if he was younger and not walking, but all he wants to do is walk. So this will be an interesting trip.

Any suggestions? Besides Xanax and Alcohol. lol

    That is great news! No travel tips, but just wanted to say that I am very happy for you! You deserve a nice ray of sunshine with all the bad news you've had lately :)

    Good luck!!

    I'm a benadryl fan for kids on planes, but I know a lot of people disagree.  I didn't give it to her when she was really little, but I did when she was over 1.  I didn't do it for the benefit of others on the place but for Alexis.  At that age, she would have been miserable and pissed to be strapped in a seat for 3 hours and not capable of understanding why it was necessary and why she could not get down.  She would have gotten frustrated.

    That said, try and fly during nap time.  Bring his favorite toys, but don't bring a ton of stuff b/c it's just more difficult to carry everything around.  Bring a DVD player if you have one, snacks, sippy of water and a favorite blanket and lovey if he has.

    If you get lucky enough to have an empty seat, having the car seat is a life saver.  

    Have fun!

    Thanks so much ladies! Yes it was super nice of my family to do that. Now that I have a job I want to pay them back for what they booked and they won't let me... :(

    I'll have to leave the money somewhere in their house before we leave and tell them where it's at when we're back in Miami...LOL
