First the bad news, my lab work from CD 3 - FSH - 18 , Estradiol - 59 and AMH <0.1 (this cycle), and Progesterone from CD 20 - 0.7 (last cycle). He said based on just my bloodwork he recommends the following:
His first choice would be egg donor then IVF.
His second choice would be my eggs (whatever is left) with IVF.
His third choice, which he would only give me 3 cycles of because of the low chance of success given my bloodwork, is oral meds and injectibles (he didn't specify which ones) with IUI.
Then he did the saline sono and the uterus looked good, lining looked good, left ovary looked like the bloodwork - pretty vacant. The right ovary however (and this is the good news) looked great with a good sized follicle and two or three behind it. He said it did look like I was going to ovulate within 3-5 days. So, basically we have a shot this week, if this doesn't work we need to figure out plan B from the three choices listed above.
I was pretty devastated by the bloodwork and my choices, but hopeful with the good sized follicles for this week. Gee, no pressure here! At least we do have a shot though. I'm not sure what our plan B option will be yet, but so far we're thinking either #2 or #3 but leaning more toward #2 right now. Of course we're hoping that plan A will work and we won't need plan B, but I still feel like I NEED to have plan B in place just in case. Is that too negative? I feel like if we're not successful on our own and there is not a plan in place it will be even harder to take, you know? OK, now I'm just rambling. I think I just needed to write it all out and process it. Thanks for listening - if you made it this far Any thoughts? I'm open to hearing them!
Re: Good news, bad news after saline sono...
Come an follies do your thing!!
First - here's hoping that your follies rock out this cycle!
Second - if for some reason this cycle doesn't work, you might want to consider Natural IVF (also called mini-IVF). Based on your history (and what I understand about this protocol), you seem like a perfect candidate. Not all clinics do it, so you may have to shop around a bit. Let me know if you want more information.

Hi, MrsDNA.
I just wanted to say that I know what you're going through. I have had that devastating bloodwork talk myself.
But also, I think the reality of your right ovary doing a kick-azz job is way more significant than your FSH. So you go!!!
I'm so fried right now from a 15-hour workday from hell, but I'm always here if you want to talk about the high FSH stuff, or anything. Feel free to PM me. Also, if you google High FSH success you'll find a great website for women with high FSH - many, many of whom have had babies, either naturally or with assistance.

Thank you ladies!
Joyful - thanks for the resource, I'll check it out and pm you if I've got any questions. I hope you were able to unwind after such a long day! That's a craaaaazy long day!!!!!
