Playgroups?

DH just told me he wants to be a SAHD and work part time nights. He currently IS doing that, but he was looking for a full time day job and decided to stick to part time nights so we don't have to put DS in daycare.

How many of you know of playgroups with SAHDs? I want DH to be able to get out and visit with other parents (he wants to, too), but he isn't so sure he wants to join a playgroup with only SAHMs. He doesn't want to be the only guy there.

We're in the Fridley/New Brighton/Mounds View area, but if it was once or twice a week, I'm sure he would travel a little out of our area for something like that.

I was told by a E.P. Dad at our music class that there is a stay at home Dad's group. Sorry I don't know much more, have your tried to do a googled it yet?

I will keep my eye out

Maybe check on ECFE.  We have 3 dads who come regularly to our class.

Thanks. I'll look around a little more. I went on Craigslist and they only had SAHM groups. I didn't know where else to look.

there are quite a few SAHD within the local Attachment Parenting group.
