nervous no movement?

usually my Lo's are all over the place. today, not so much. they usually move more at night to i just kind of brushed it off. i have never really had to do a kick count b/c they usually move a lot. i know they are huge and prob have no room but there should be movement right?

what can i do to try and get them up and going? i know if i don't, i need to go back to L&D. i want to try doing what i can before i go in...

thanks ladies.

Re: nervous no movement?

  • My OB says to drink something cold and sugary and lay on your left side.  You should get 6-10 movements in an hour.  Due to baby b's position I hardly ever feel him unless i concentrate really hard.

  • Ice cold chocolate milk with some m&m's always get them going for me!

  • I would lay down and just pay close attention. I usually realized I just wasn't paying close enough attention. If you still don't feel anything, call your doctor just to make sure everything is ok!

Ditto this. Skittles and OJ work well.
Definitely go in ASAP if you're not feeling much movement though. Sorry; I've had two friends who lost babies right at the end of pregnancy this winter (a singleton and twins) so I'm paranoid now. I don't mean to be an alarmist, but MUCH better safe than sorry!
