Kind of embarrassed to ask, but wanted to ask here before I called the dr.  Today I noticed a strange odor after urinating.  This happened twice.  Not a bad smell so to speak, but did not smell like urine.  Almost had a sweet smell.  Does this mean anything?  I have gd but haven't read any kind of correlation.  I was just at the dr. yesterday and would have asked.  If it continues thoughout the week I may call just to see what they say, but again, embarrassed to ask!

I would call to ask to be on the safe side they may have you come in to test and make sure it is not aminotic fluid, I heard it can have a sweet smell, or if your protein intake has been high you could be in Ketosis(sp), does your breath also have a sweet smell?  They don't have you test your ketone levels.

I don't have and GD experience but I was told sweet smelling urine could be amnioitc fluid leaking- so I would call your Dr.
