Irish Baby Names
We are trying to think of boy and girl names that are Irish in origin. Trying to find a nice one for a boy that doesn't end in "n" is very difficult. Our middle name ends in an "n" and doesn't sound right with first names that end the same way. Thanks!

Our last name also ends with an 'n'...we chose Connor Doyle for DS. I also like Liam for a boy.
I'm not much help on the girl names...I didn't like any of DH's suggestions.

Are you looking for something very traditional, or more just Irish- inspired?
The first response has some of my favourite names, Mairead is my middle name...
If you want something really traditional, I'd be happy to help with spelling variations and pronounciations... a lot of names are pronounced differently in different parts of the country, as well, so it can get pretty confusing.
