Am I Pregnant??? I really hope so!

So my last period was Feb.1. All last week and the week before i was feeling really tired, way out of the ordinary. Then starting last thursday, Feb.25, I starting feeling bloated and gassy, which also was unusual. Later on in the day I started feeling nauseous. So I decided to take a First Response pregnancy test the next morning. It was negative . So I decided I would wait until the day I was actually supposed to get my period. Every day since then I have been bloated and gassy and nauseous, also with a litte breast tenderness which is never part of my PMS. Also, on Saturday and Sunday I had the worst heart burn I have ever had in my life. So today I didn't get my period and I took another pregnancy test this morning. Negative again! And I've felt nauseous and gassy and bloated again all day. So what's the deal? Why am I feeling this way? I had a feeling early last week that I was finally pregnant this time but then my tests come out negative. Do you think I actually am pregnant and the tests are wrong, or my period is just deciding to come a little later than usual?

it could be a number of things, my period has been irregular for 16 months! so... I never knew when it was coming, but I had a general idea. once i had the same problem, my period was 15 days late... and I kept taking tests and they were all negative but I had all the signs of being pregnant. FINALLY my period came, I was devistated.

When was your period supposed to start? I'd wait another couple of days and test again! GOOD LUCK! Let us know!

Its to late for this. The tests don't usually lie. I'm guessing you ovulated later than normal and AF should be on here way

yeah id wait because AF is probably coming, dont get excited til the test is positive! but like i said good luck!

And OP, you probably arent KU, sorry. If your cycle was due today and youre still posting NEG I would assume any day now AF will show her ugly head:( so sorry though. Better luck next cycle.

ETA: when ttc you are hyper aware of your body so symptoms you may have had before prior to AF that you didnt notice, you are now noticing a lot more. Keep in mind for next time. Dont you  hate phantom symptoms.

in all seriousness though, just be patient. i know how frustrating this time could be, but just b/c your period is "due" today doesnt mean its going to show... that doesnt mean you are pg. like pp said, you may have O'd later than usual, or may have a LP thats a day or two longer this go-around.... my period is "due" today (based on when i O'd, not based on the calendar.... based on the calendar is was "due" on Saturday) and I got a BFN yesterday.... you just gotta wait it out.

but #1 bump rule is don't ask us if you are pg.... we don't have a crystal ball and pg symptoms often mimic AF symptoms.... if you are getting a negative test the only thing you can assume is that you are not pg until either a) you get a + test or b) you get AF...... if you go on 60 days with no AF and no BFP, then go see a doctor...

Typically if you are pregnant enough to have symptoms, you are pregnant enough to show a BFP. I'm sure the tests aren't lying. They could be PMS symptoms that you've never noticed before.

I think she was talking about from comments on CBarnes about TTC and expecting medicaid to cover the cost. She thinks we should just "let go" of the fact that she is taking advantage of the system instead of being responsible.

All I wanted was to get people's opinions based on experience or stuff they read to see how likely it is that I'm pregnant or to help me understand what's going on. I wasn't asking anyone to "look into a crystal ball" and predict if I am or not. Obviously you people aren't psychic. Jeesh! Everyone needs to learn to be nicer to everyone. I would never go and reply rudely to someone's post. As Thumper says in Bambi, "If you don't have anything nice to say, don't say anything at all."

We have no way of knowing if you are pregnant or not as we are not your doctor. As pp said, if you are far enough along to have symptoms then you are far enough along to get a +Hpt.

If you are not charting, then you really have no clue when you ovulated, and therefore do not know when AF is due. It doesn't matter how "regular" your cycles usually are, you can have a longer or shorter cycle at any time. I would recommend checking out Fertility Friend, sign up, do the tutorials, and start charting.

And as far as asking us about our experience with these, a good portion of the ladies on this board have only been able to experience these symptoms as phantom symptoms because we have never been pregnant. You would be better off asking a tri board about symptoms.

I have been taking my basal temperature every morning and recording it as well as recording when I am on my period and when my husband and I have intercourse and any other symptoms I notice throughout the month.

Then you should know when you ovulated and whether you are late or not. But normally the if the test is negative, you're not pregnant rule stands.

When I was pregnant with my first, I didn't get a positive test for one week after my period was due but that was because I had just gotton off birth control and I had no idea when I ovulated.... Apparently it was much later in my cycle than I thought. According to my lmp my edd with my ds was 12/22 but he wasn't born until 1/2 and his edd officially was 1/3. So unless you just ovulated waaaaaay waaaay late I would say no, probably not pregnant. But maybe try retesting in a week. It worked for me! Good luck.

Wait, did I read that your lmp was 2/1? That was months a go. You should see a doc if you were having regular cycles and they suddenly stopped! You would be like... What... 5 months pregnant?! You would feel fetal movement by now. And be showing.
