  • i'm excited for you and Adam!!!

that was a really jerk-a-rific thing for her to say :(  she clearly needs to think before she speaks or install a filter or something.

  • What an ass_hat.  Especially since she's your friend and must know how hard you're working with him.

Yay for Adam!!  That is wonderful!!!

  • Some people do not know how to shut their mouth and stop talking about themselves. I have totally been there. Try not to let it bother you, when they turn 3 they will all be in the same spot. Adam is doing GREAT and making progress. How awesome that Mama is one of his first words! Its not an easy one for a lot of kids. And that he's mimicking- that is so cool! Asher just started doing that too. You can always chat with me about Adam's speech developments on here or FB, you can bet I will be excited for you!!!

  • I'm sorry your friend was so insensitive.  Yay for your DS.  Isn't such a huge deal when you finally get to hear something in their cute little voices?  When DS finally started saying things, i cried often just because I love the sound of his little voice.  It's so cute!  And once the attempts to communicate, they do snowball, I swear.  DS wasn't signing or saying anything at 16 months and now at 20 he has about 20 signs, plus 10 or so word attempts.  Mama though is crystal clear.  :)

    Enjoy the progress!

  • Go Adam!!!!!!!!!!!!! Your friend is pretty sucky.
  • That would have hurt my feelings too.  People make comments to me all the time about Ian not walking yet (at 16.5mos) and it makes me want to cry.  I am doing the best I can, and everything I can think of to do to help him, and he just won't do it.  They always succeed in making me feel like a big fat failure.
