We are but DH is Jewish so it goes with his religion.  I always said that kind of thing was up to DH anyway because it's something he has a better understanding of with or without religion.

Yes. DS is circumcised and this one will be as well. I am Jewish and DH although not Jewish is circumcised so it was a non issue for us.

This. Though we aren't Jewish, it is also for religious reasons.

It looks nasty if its not! && wat if one day i leave him with a sitter? wat if the sitter doesnt clean it right? && wen he starts school? he'll be too little to clean himself right! && thats just disgusting! i read that if they dont clean right the pee just goes under the extra skin! Oh Dear.  Obviously you are going to circumcise your child.  But please... could you do a little more research on it beforehand so that the excuse you use doesn't make you sound like you don't know anything about human anatomy or childcare?

Cleaning an intact boy "right" is easier than cleaning a baby girl "right"  ... I'm a mom of two intact boys and one intact girl... I know. 

Would you worry that if you leave a baby girl alone with a sitter that the sitter might not know to ram a douche up inside her vagina and flush her out properly with disinfectant and get her perfectly clean when she is still too little to know how to properly sterilize herself out down there? ... yes... that's how you sound.

Wow.  This has got to be the most ignorant and judgmental thing I have read in awhile.  

 

"Looks nasty".  Really?  Do you really have to be that insulting???  

And what if you leave him with a sitter?  DS goes to daycare 40 hours a week and he is not cut.  She cleans him FINE and there is nothing wrong with him.  It is incredibly easy to clean.  The skin doesn't even pull back until they are much older.  You don't have to get all up under there.  Someone else also mentioned it being higher maintenance - so not true.  It's HIGHER maintenance with a cut penis, that's a surgery and wound you have to care for and clean!
