give motrin with stomach flu?

Jakob threw up last night and hasn't been able to keep anything down today.  His fever has been slowly rising all morning, and is now up to 101.3 (orally).

Should I give him Motrin for the fever?  I'm afraid it will upset his stomach even more.  Should we get some Childrens Tylenol?  He weighs about 50 lbs but I don't think we can give him the adult strength.

I'm usually pretty good with child illnesses but this is throwing me off!

We had A in this week for what the pedi thought was probably just a stomach or throat virus of some sort, and she said to do the Motrin for his fever.

Yes, I would do Motrin.  My kids haven't ever had problems with keeping it down, even with the stomach flu.  He will be more comfortable.
