Krisbri- remember that place around here called "Country Studio"? Not only did they use live bunnies but also sheep, lambs, and little baby ducks.
I don't think they got much business though. They were ALWAYS soliciting people with free photos just to get people in the door. I don't even think they are in business anymore.
oh yeah I remember! I was thinking damn why would any parent put an animal that has the potential to bite next to your kid for a "cute" photo op.

I just tried looking for their website via google and can't find anything on them. Maybe they are out of business- I haven't seen any ads for them this year either. I saw an archived newspaper article though and it stated that the 3 wooly lambs would roam the office and sleep under the desks at night, chew the curtains and the camera cords. I'm sure the lambs were happy about that environment!
Ditto everyone else. We get an Easter photo at the mall with the big silly guy in a bunny costume. Nothing dies at the end of the season or ends up in the SPCA.
We did it one year when DS was 2. Such a cute picture. It was at Picture People. The bunnies BTW are from one owner and they are her pets and very tame (would not bite). They had 2 of them there and bunnies seemed to really enjoy being handled. Hopped over to DS and wanted to lay in his lap. Not quite sure why you all would think it is cruel to the animal. Haven't you ever had a bunny as a pet. They love attention (at least ours did when we had one years ago).
Re: Who does Easter pics with bunnies?
JoeBunny does not approve. Nothing like scaring the crap out of an animal to get a photo op.
