appearing sleepy & cluster feeding

First, LO seems like she's sleeping during most of our nursing, but is actively sucking for up to 40 minutes (20/20 each breast).  I can see her jaw/temple move.  If I can't get her to eat for more than 15 minutes on a breast at a time, I turn her right side up and wait for her to open her eyes before trying to continue.  But still, is the "sleepiness" OK as long as she appears to be eating?

Second, and perhaps related, we're doing a lot of cluster feeding - I swear she ate for 7 hours the other night.  This is normal at 10 days, right?

    they say baby's have their growth spurt around that time, so yes, it's normal. A pain in the butt.. but normal. GL

    totally normal...not that it makes it any more fun for you :)

    i remember days when I seriously felt like i had Brock attached to my boob all day. I HATED my life then lol. and im about to enter into those fun times again :)
