Our first night out was back to the 80's!

So last night we got a sitter for the first time - I was so nervous. She came highly recommended and Vivian gave her the biggest smile (OK I was pretty jealous) when we handed her off.
We had tickets to REO Speedwagon and Styx that DH had gotten from and interview he did with the lead singer of REO - and let me just say I was in my big-hair days heaven. So much fun! We met the singer after and I let him know that it was LO's first night with a sitter (which also reminded me I wasn't 16 again if this was the conversation I was having with a "rockstar"). He was really sweet and said he was flattered we chose his show for this first and said I looked great PP (which was bullsh!st since I wasn't rockin the cool jeans you ladies have been sporting but a pair of Ann Taylor's) - he was very sweet.
Vivian did great and was all cute and asleep when we got home - of course I have to pick her up and cuddle with her for a while. Fun, I feel human again!

That's awesome! We still haven't gone out without Jace. Well, I actually did this week. I had to go to Tampa on a business trip. I hooked up with a few friends and drank like I was in college. It hurt the next day but it was fun that night.
I am so glad you found a sitter that Vivian seemed to like. What's the going rate for a sitter these days? I used to charge $2 per hour. lmao

Oh I am jealous of you & Jen. Hittin the booze. I feel like I have been in AA or something. I rarely ever do want a drink, but there are other times I just want to get a good buzz.

Can I join?? I finally had to get rid of my Cure concert T from...get this...ready? ...1989. I was New Order with PIL and the Suigar Cubes that same summer. DM was the next summer if memory serves.
