visitor question...

should sickly friends be able to come visit as long as they ont touch the baby?

Re: visitor question...

  • Some things are transmittable by air or water droplets (like if they sneezed).

Same here. Give them a few more days to get well.

  • whatever you feel comfy with.  We let family and close friends come over, and only when we felt up to it! Other people keep calling to come and I'm telling them just another week or two.. LO is just too little and I'm too tired!
  • I'd say no.  They should know better!
  • We have a "no sick people no exceptions" policy with the baby.  My little brother felt so bad because the day after she was born he was supposed to come visit but had the signs of a cold and couldn't come.  Even if people think they're getting sick they stay home.  I am extremely over protective, but I have a nephew who got RSV when he was 2 weeks old (and he was born in the winter too) and now he has asthma and still has respiratory issues 2 years later.  Seeing him with these issues is more than enough to put DD's health over other peoples feelings.  So far everyone has been fine with it, but I well established that rule before she was born.
