Held for naps at 2 months old

So, during the first few weeks of DD's life she would sleep anywhere. Up until a week or so ago she would nap in her swing or bouncer. Sometimes she would fall asleep in my arms, but she would stay asleep if I put her down. For the last couple of days she won't sleep unless she is being held. The problem with this is I am working and shevis either at home with DH or with the sitter and neither if them are keen on holding her for 1-2 hours while she sleeps. Anybody have any advice or solutions? Any ideas on why she all of a sudden be doing this?

  • Car Seat!!!

My DS is the same way but does well in the car seat. I stole the idea from his babysitter!

  • did you just recently go back to work? Maybe she is lonely and missing you.  Maybe she is cold and they are not dressing her as warmly as you would.  I know that Jonathan sleeps alot better when he is dressed warm. He likes to sleep on me too.  I think he gets lonely and cold and loves to be iin close physical contact to me.  I usually wear him.  Maybe recommend that they wear her throughout the day.

  • I assume you're paying the babysitter? If so, she should do what DD needs. Same goes for your husband, obviously.

  • DD used to always nap in her swing, as of a few days ago she only naps when being held or when I wear her. Today I swaddled her, waited for her to fall asleep and put her in her crib with white noise playing. Looks like we have success! Good luck, I know my LO gets really fussy if she doesn't nap well during the day.
