Hi Ladies,
Since you just went through this I thought you might have some input...
I just got my GBS results and I have it. This is my third baby and I have had extremely quick labor and deliveries with my 1st and 2nd (whithin 45 minutes of getting to the hospital both times they were born). So there is obviously no chance I'm getting that 2nd round of antibiotics. My Dr. said they will just check the baby more once he is born. I just wondered if anyone had experience with this and how thing worked out if they didn't have alot of time for antibiotics.
TIA!
(Yes I look like I'm never on here but I used to be addicted to this site when I was pg with my 1st and 2nd... I only have time to read now, never post!

Re: GBS positive/ quick labors
I could have wrote this post. I get nervous just thinking about baby #3 and how L&D will go considering we barely made it to the hospital in time.
And we had a scare too. Jonathan had to be admitted to the NICU because they thought that he was GBS+; it turns out that there was a lab error that contaminated the results but itt was the most terrifying thing we have gone through.
I am seriously considering getting induced next time around so that they can get the full dose in me before starting the pitocin. I would much prefer to go into labor naturally, but I just don't think it is realistic for us. My parents live an 1.5hour away too so we had DS1 with us for most of the time until they got to the hospital (about 30min before I was ready to push). I had a successful induction with DS1 and the contractions were not much different than my natural labor with DS2. congrats to you and GL with whatever you decide to do.
