We are supposed to go over to a friend's house for dinner tonight. She texted that her 1.5 yr old has a slight cough. Her DS is always sick it seems like from daycare...something I worry about when my DS starts going:(
Anyways, he won't be touching my LO and will be in bed an hour after we get there. Can DS get sick from it just being in the air? Should we not go anymore or am I being too paranoid?
Re: How easy is it for babies to catch a cold?
I was always told that BF (if you are) provides a lot of antibodies since the mom's body makes them for whatever she's currently being exposed to.
DH has had bronchitis since DS4's birth, I've had a bad cold, and DS2 was home from school sick one day. DS4 currently has a mildly stuffy nose and is acting a bit irritable, but hasn't been very sick -- hopefully that will continue.

I am a little more cautious too. DS has yet to leave the house exept for a pediatrian's appointment. I would not expose him to a sick child even if the child will not be touching LO - the common cold is resperatory and is in the air if the boy coughs or sneezes.
Good luck.
