We haven't had to many "showers" as of late, but that's because we've been quicker at changing DS's diapers. When it took a little longer, I always covered him with a washcloth. And I've warned the grandparents to do the same.
Every time DS is with my MIL, he's in a different outfit when we pick him up. Why is that? Because he pees everywhere. You'd think MIL would know to cover him considering she had 3 sons. "I never did that", is her response. Well then your house must have smelled like pee for years. Seriously... his clothes get soaked. She must take the dirty diaper off, play with him for 5 minutes while he's naked, see that's he's peeing all over the place, and just laugh while it's happening. I mean, his entire outfit is drenched.... plus his socks. His socks? Really lady? At least she changes his outfit, but it makes me crazy that she doesn't just listen to me and cover him up!!!!
Re: Do you cover DS to change his diaper?
We did cover him with a "pee pee tee pee" the first few weeks and then it got old. I don't cover him now and I've only had him pee one time - and I caught it quick with a wipe so it barely got anywhere. It doesn't make sense how he is getting it all over!
Is she "pointing it down" when she changes his diaper?
