New w/GD. Need ideas for my grocery list!

I read the previous post and went to the referenced websites to start my grocery list, but would love your suggestions as well.  I won't be meeting w/the dietician until next week sometime but need to go grocery shopping today and would like to avoid having to go back after I meet with him.

So far I have:

Peanut Butter, Apples, Cottage Cheese, String Cheese, Strawberries, Cantelope, whole wheat bread/flat bread

So what staples things would you add to my list?

  • laughing cow cheese, wheat thins, eggs, bacon, nuts, yogurt
  • Loading the player...
  • turkey (if you eat deli meat), graham crackers, sugar free/fat free cool whip (makes yummy "ice cream" sandwiches when smooshed in between graham crackers), animal crackers, crystal light (if you are going to do splenda)

  • I always get chicken and roast or boil it each week along with cucumbers, red bell peppers, and whole wheat tortillas.  I shred the chicken and make a wrap for lunch just about every day.
  • SF jello/pudding

    I make a gorp of 1pk raisins, 1pk craisuns, 1 can cashew pieces and 1 jar peanuts - yum! Like a pbj in your mouth, lol.

    Carrots & ranch dressing (or any veggies)

    Apples & pb

    Celery & pb

    Light peaches/pineapple drained with cottage cheese

    Whole wheat pasta

    Light bread

    SF hard candy

    SF gum
