NBR : Earthquake

There was an 8.8 magnitude earthquake off the coast of Chili. Which has lead to a tsunami warning for the entire Pacific coast - including Hawaii, Australia, NZ, Russia, & Japan. They will be sounding warning alarms soon in Hawaii.

I know we have a few ladies that post here, that live in some of these locations. Lets keep them in our thoughts!

The tsunami alarms are going to go off here in about 20 minutes alerting Hawaii people of the tsunami coming. I think the Big island(hawaii) is going to be the one most affected by this tsunami, but yes please, Thoughts and prayers for us mommas and soon-to-be mommas out here on the islands, Thank you ladies.

My aunt lives on Oahu also, so my mom called her a bit ago. I've got CNN on and they were showing the Wal-Mart on Oahu and people stocking up. How close to the coast are you?

They had said the same thing on CNN as you, that they are expecting the BI to get it the worst - by the volcano park. So scary.

Thoughts are definatly with you. Hawaii is my favorite place in the world - we're headed there in October - BI and Maui (4th trip in 4 years!). Keep us updated, if you can or when its over. I'd like to hear about it, if you are willing to share.

We are fairly close to the coast... but they are only projecting 6 foot waves for Oahu. But everyone is still evacuating, we are hanging around till 9 or 10 and then we will make a choice on what to do.
