I actually took Aaron to the pediatrician on Thursday morning (before the snow got bad) because he sounded terrible (wheezy/congested). I wasn't sure if it was teething again, but his pedi said it was a cold.
I can't do anything for him except for the Little Noses saline spray and the bulb aspirator (which turns my usual happy angel into Damien from The Omen). He's eating, but less. And it's harder for him to take the bottle because he's having trouble breathing through his nose.
He's sleeping, for the most part, but it's a restless sleep.
Poor baby.
Re: DS has a cold :(
We use a humidifier every night because our apartment is so dry. I'm now using it during the day when he's napping.
He's just not comfortable... the congestion is bothering him. But the pedi checked him out and said it just needs to run it's course.

Poor Aaron. I hope he gets better soon. He sounds miserable.
So do you

Have you tried the "mama in the hot shower" sauna? I stick Margaux in her bouncer in the bathroom and take a hot shower, it helps clear her nose and feels great for me. Everybody wins!
Poor Aaron. Poor Robyn! I've been through this 3 times already & it sucks. Once wasn't bad, the other 2 times were killers. Try to elevate the head side of the crib if you could. My DH put books under the legs, but you could also stick somethin under the mattress.
Sienna usually has no problem with the aspirator when she is healthy, but when she has a cold, she is a fighter, smacking my hands, twisting turning, yes, Damien!
Hope he gets better soon.
Aww, poor little guy. Hope he's feeling better soon!
We accidently rubbed the end of Keira's nose raw from wiping it so much with kleenex when it was running out of control 2 weeks ago -- switched to an old burp cloth last week, and that's been so much better. That, plus slathering lanolin on her nose and the area underneath has helped so much.
Oh, and I know Damien well! It takes two people to use the saline spray on Keira, because you have to hold her arms down and hold her head in place.
