2001 - but we used to have a fifth year of high school in Ontario (for university bound students), so for the purpose of this poll I suppose I should say 2000.
Do they have Kindergarten in Canada or just start with Grade 1?
(For some reason I remember them talking about this on Kids of Degrassi street 110 years ago)
OMG Kids of Degrassi Street lmao!!!!!!! We *are* old.
Hope POF doesn't mind me answering on behalf of Canada and saying that yes, there is kindergarten.
I was born in Alberta. I went to kindergarten and then pre-grade 1, and then grade 1. There was actually a grade called pre-grade 1. Odd.

Yeah DH was SURE he was gonna marry another Music Ed person... THAT didnt happen haha. But he doesnt teach anymore:( he decide he liked flying more than music I guess... He used to work with the North Lincoln High School band in NC as well as East Lincoln. He misses it though. Keeps trying to get with a school in the area to help, but no dice... Hes a great trumpet player though. I wish I still played, but in all honesty I was just much better at conducting and percussion than I was the flute.
