Of course you can! Only once your water breaks..baths are not recomended. I lost my mucus plug 2 weeks ago..I would be pretty nasty smelling if I couldn't bath untill labor.lol
Also, you can take a bath after you water breaks, your vagina is not a vacuum. If it were that unsafe so many women wouldn't be laboring in tubs.
Only in a santitized tub I have been told. My girlfriend had a bath once her water broke at home and she developed an infection in her uterus from the dirty bath water..nothing serious, just had to take antibiotics. When I had my son the nurses wouldn't let me in the tub once my water broke..only the shower.
Yes a bath is fine. The only time you should stay away from the tub is if your water breaks and there is meconium in it. Of course, by that time, you should be headed to the hospital anyway, lol.
And I suppose it depends on your hospital's policy on tubs, but mine will allow you to stay in up until you feel the urge to push. And they don't "sanitize" their tub water, it's just regular water.

haha, I didn't mean sanitized holy water..I meant a clean tub..as in using a cleaner and making sure it is sanitized so your leg hair from yesterday's shave isn't lingering around still..or any soap residue:)
Re: Lost Mucus Plug...can I still take a bath?
I would...
but no soaps or anything in the bath water

The mental imagery on this is stunning.
