My sister's best friend's dad passed away this morning and the funeral/viewing is tonight... DH is out of town and my parents may not be available to watch DS. I really want to pay my respects because she is my friend too and I know her parents (we've known them for over 20 years). Should I take DS and be there for at most an hour (he'll probably fall asleep in the car and be asleep the whole time we're there) or not go at all???

Re: WWYD...
I'd take him and pay my respects. You've known them for a while so I'm sure they'd understand that you really wanted to be there for them in their time of grief but did not have someone to leave your little one with.
Plus, babies make EVERYONE smile!

My condolences to your friend's family.
