We have about 18 inches of snow where I am right now, but I braved the snow and went to my 9 a.m. growth scan. DH and I couldn't catch a cab, so we walked very very slowly to the subway....probably won't be seeing the inside of the subway again until after the boys arrive.
Things are looking good still and every time I am amazed that I have two average size babies by singleton standards even though I'm only 5' tall.
Baby A is measuring 4lb9oz (51%) and Baby B is measuring 4lb6oz (the u/s tech couldn't get a good measurement of his belly and thinks he is actually closer to 4lb8oz). My cervix is 4.6cm and closed!!! This gives me hope that I can make it to 36 weeks and maybe even to 37 (gasp).
The only bad part is that A is breech. B keeps flipping back and forth and is vertex right now. The Dr. told me today that A is unlikely to move from his breech position, that he looks wedged in my pelvis and as a result, I have less than 20% chance of him moving out of breech position and this % chance will get smaller every day. I guess I have to start mentally preparing for a c/s.
Re: 32w4d Growth Scan Results
Great appt!! Congrats. Don't lose hope for A to move--my B did literally a day or two before delivery so that they both were vertex...(however, B ended up blocking A from further descending down my canal and so I had to convert to a c/s anyway).
Great weights and way to go, super cervix! Stay warm (it's the same picture out here on LI--ughhh!)
Thanks, I still have some hope and I pray that you are right and A will move. The sucky thing is that the Dr. said that generally, baby Bs are a lot more likely to move up until delivery than As. He said that because A is "wedged" into the pelvis they are less likely to move. That has been my experience so far, A has been breech for the last 2 weeks and B just moves all around.
fantastic news!! I cant believe you braved the snow!!
Great weights and yay for a long, closed cervix! don't worry- you really never know- those little babies have minds of their own and can turn at the last minute. You still have plenty of time!
That's fantastic and very reassuring. My goal has been to get these boys over 5lbs and past 34 weeks so it seems like many women are doing so well. Congrats and continue strong.
