...another stroller post. : )
I just can't justify spending $400+ on a stroller. I tried. I really, really did. But I am thinking of getting this stroller for shopping and then possibly getting a jogger for taking the kids for walks around the neighborhood.
Thoughts on it? It has good reviews on BRU and Amazon but I only see high end strollers recommended here.
My 2u2 are quite close, so I will be using this for a while.
Re: Graco Quattro Duo...I know, I know...
I really dislike the Graco strollers. They are way too heavy and bulky and ARE hard to steer over terrain.
If you'll be using it for a while, then I would spend the money on a good double stroller. You don't need 2 strollers. You can buy one stroller for all your needs.
It is much easier to steer a double stroller that has air-filled (or foam-filled) tires. I can steer my stroller with 1 hand. BEST purchase I made.
GL!
I didn't really want to spend a ton on a double either. However, DD loves to ride in the stroller and I don't see that ending soon. So, I want her to have the option.
We ended up with the Phil & Teds. Honestly, I justified it because I will sell my other strollers, and we can use it for a long, long time. I bought mine for $429 with free shipping and a free doubles kit.
HarrietNJ - What stroller do you have?
We are toying with buying a used BOB double for jogging and splurging on the Baby Jogger City Select for daily trips...that is a whole lotta cash on strollers!!!
I have a Jane Powertwin. They aren't sold in the U.S. anymore. Spain has stopped importing them. LOVE LOVE LOVE this stroller. I have abused it for almost 3 years now. It can be a "jogging" stroller (the front wheel locks) but it's not marketed as a jogger (much like the P&T). It's streamlined, has air-filled tires, both seats recline and steers really well.
You might be able to find one on Craigslist or Amazon.
Why can't you use the BOB double for your daily trips?
We live in a small town where all of the shops etc. have little tiny aisles, and the BOB single barely fits through them...I don't know how many little casual shopping strolls I'll really be doing once I have two kids though - so you might have a point!
I don't do a lot of shopping trips with all 3 kids - too hard. I can fit through Gymboree aisles and most boutiques with my double stroller - it's not "pleasant" but it can be done.
GL in your search! Strollers are like cars - everyone has different requirements on what works for them.
Now isn't that the truth!
Yes we've been keeping our eyes peeled - thank you! We thought we found one yesterday but we haven't heard back yet...crossing my fingers.
