3 weeks old - still waking up to feed?

My twins were born at 36w3d and are approaching 3 weeks old on Saturday.  We go to the Dr tomorrow for a weight check.  If they are at or above birth weight, do you think that we will be given the 'go-ahead' to feed on demand?  I am EBFing, btw.  We have to wake them up to feed and often they are soooo sleepy it seems counter productive.

I was given the go-ahead to let them wake up to eat once they reached their birth weight (which they had by a week old).  Too bad they still get up every 3 hours to eat anyway.

this is what happened to us. it's like they set their alarm clock.

If they are past their birth weights, no need to wake them to feed. But ditto pp, mine wake up every 3 hours on their own .
