I'm wondering where moms or moms-to-be registered in Chicago? Have you gone with the cute boutiques or Target? I think I am going to start researching stuff to register for and wanted some opinions on the best places.
I think we're going to register at "Buy, Buy, Baby" and "Babies R Us"...though I was thinking about maybe registerring with "Wishpot.com" too, they have an online baby registry which allows you to add items from any store (like the little boutiques) to keep all on one list...so that's kind of cool too. Have fun and congratulations!!!
We did Buy Buy Baby and Target. I hate Target, but it's the most accessible place for people, especially my ILs. DH and I are the only ones who reside in Chicago, really, so we didn't do any Chicago-specific stores.
We are doing Buy Buy Baby and Amazon.com (LOVE MY AMAZON REGISTRY!!!!!)
Be By Baby in Lakeview has a registry option but I don't think I'd use it. Not enough people actually live in the city to make it worthwhile to register there.

Re: Chicago Registries
I registered at Buy Buy Baby...you can use Bed Bath and Beyond 20% off coupons there....Babies R Us just didn't have the products I really wanted.
I also registered at Giggle..they are online as well as a store on Halsted just North of Armitage.
