Hamper??

Trying to decide what to use in the nursery for luandry. Should I just put a laundry basket in the closet? or get a hamper that mathes the room decor? If so how are the cloth ones vs. wicker basket ones?  do the cloth ones get dirty/ smell if you are throwing in clothes with poop or spit up on them?

I was wondering the same thing. I got a laundry basket that is shaped like a hamper (stands tall, so takes up less space). Will keep it in the closet. If there is something with poop or spit up, that will need immediate attention and get soaked, then pretreated, then thrown in the washer to wait for the load.

agree w/pp -- poop or spit up needs immediate attention, you dont just throw in the hamper and deal with it in a few days.  What a mess!

I haven't thought much about this  -- will most likely get a regular old hamper similiar to what DH and I use and then put one in the babies room.  Preferably something that I can tuck into the closet, I'm not into clutter

It was cheap but felt sturdy.  I'm either leaving it white or painting it blue (Krylon Fusion spray paint).

Here is our wicker hamper. It came with a drawstring liner. I just went to the fabric store and got fabric to make a custom valance and change pad. I decided I would also make an additional drawstring liner or two for the hamper, that way if I end up throwing something really bad in there, I can just tie up the drawstring and put it in the laundry room, and put a new liner in the hamper pronto.

I have never in 4+ years had a hamper in either of kids' rooms, I just put their laundry in the one in our room. ?I do all of the laundry together anyway. ?
