DD has not had a poopy diaper all day yesterday and none so far today! which is really unusual for her. She's had some little wet fart spots, but not a full diaper by far.
is this typical and im worrying for nothing? or should i call the pedi??
I asked my pedi about this yesterday - she said babies go from pooping a million times a day (or what it felt like to me!) to once or never. as long as it hasnt been more than 3 days and the poop isn't dry and hard, your baby is good. I'd call your pedi tho if you're really worried.
I was told not to worry until it had been more than 3 or 4 days. At that point use 1/2 an infant glycerine suppository and if you dont get some result within 2 hours of that, call the doc. Sometimes my LO goes 2 days without and then has a big blow out so I think youre ok.

I know you've gotten some good advice already, but just wanted to let you know I had something similar happen earlier this week. My LO went from Sat-Wed with no poop. He was also clearly uncomfortable and straining. I was in communication with my pedi and when it had gone 4 days she confirmed that he was still eating and said that often times 1 month olds start going a lot less than they were previously. I had read this but thought that the switch happened much more gradually (he was going 6-7times/day)-apparently not! She was going to have me come in if it went another 24 hours.
He finally went wednesday afternoon and I was so relieved. That diaper was fun to change
