Please tell me this is normal or something b/c I'm thinking this really doesn't bode well for me!
Yesterday night I was 7 weeks and I started bleeding. Not super heavy, but it seemed like a lot to me. Enough that I freaked the hell out. I went to the ER and managed to pick the 1 ER in the area that had no ultrasound techs available. Though it was midnight when I got there. They told me it would take 3 hours for the person to come in and give me my scan so I said forget it and just left. I figured I'd just go to my RE. They did do a manual exam and said they saw bleeding but that my cervix was closed. Apparently that's a good sign, but I want an ultrasound before I believe it.
My plan is to just relax today and get an ultrasound tomorrow.
The one funny, probably TMI thing from this little episode was that I forgot to tell the ER dr that I was on suppositories. 1 of them is blue. So when he did the pelvic exam and saw blue stuff he got this look on his face like W.T.F.is.that??? I was about to freak out at his reaction when I heard him murmur something about "blue stuff" to the nurse. So I told him it was the drugs and we all had a good laugh. I think he thought I was growing cervical mold or something.
Re: Only 7 weeks and already an ER trip...

oh my goodness! the ER is so not a fun place to be, especially for pg ladies. they just aren't equipped or sensitive, and especially for IF ladies... scary. we got pg after 2 ivfs and had big bleeds at just before 6wks and again at 13wks. the first they called a subchorionic bleed, and the second bleed they didn't call anything.
definitely relax, stay off your feet, distract yourself as best you can. hopefully tomorrow's u/s will put your mind at ease.
i never went to the ER, only to my RE or OB, or later to L&D. from what i can see the ER justs freaks pg ladies out... obviously there are cases where the ER is necessary.
pretty cool your supps are blue! would love to have seen the docs face.
let us know how it goes tomorrow.
