I usually err on the side of caution and refrigerate it once its open, but do I need to? It's so much easier to use when it's not rock hard!!

I refrigerated when I was single because a jar lasted forever.

Now, with a family, I buy one of the smaller sizes and keep it in the cupboard so it is easier to make a quick sandwhich. It's not the most ecconomical way to go, but we use the jar up so quickly, it's always fresh.

Nope. I used to since I use natural PB, but then I found out that the only reason to refrigerate it was to keep it from separating and decided it's much easier to remix room temperature PB than the spread it cold!
