Nursery Plans!

So we decided on crib bedding and here it is! I really love the little puppy, monkey and bear faces! So the plan is to use this bedding collection with white furniture.

I already have a brand new white dresser and nightstand (see below) that is made for a child's room in my guest bedroom so what I've done is I've taken off the glass knobs (which make it look pretty feminine) and I've switched them out with slate blue ceramic knobs to get it more of a boy feel. The knobs are this color:

I got all of the pieces in that collection so just imagine that collection with white furniture and lots of pops of red, navy blue, even gold tones.

Can't wait to put it all together. Now, all I'll need is a crib, and a changing table.

I really like the style of this type of changing table because I think it would be nice to have the below storage area. To make it look more boy-ish I'm planning on getting a few brown baskets to put on the shelves to store supplies.

So what do you think? I struggled with the idea of keeping white furniture, but it just makes sense because we can use some pieces we already have (which saves us $) and I think the white furniture keeps it looking nice airy.

When he gets older I can always make him a 'big boy room' that will have more of the richer wood tones.

Plus, if/when we have another child we can easily use white for either gender.

Now, I just have to figure out a paint color. I was thinking a light butterscotch color? Any suggestions? Oh, and I'm still not sold on a crib style yet so if you have ideas let me know. I'd love to hear your ideas!
