Startle reflex?

First - I'm new here. As of today, we "graduated" to 3 - 6 months.

My baby has a pretty strong startle reflex and it wakes her up right when she dozes off. I swaddle her at night for this purpose but it keepps waking her up from naps.

Does this just taper off or are some babies just "that way?"

I think it just tapers off, Zachary doesn't startle nearly as much now.

BTW, I love your siggy pics! Look at that hair!

Cullen is still startling and it still wakes him up from naps.  We use the Woombie at night and he sleeps 9-11 hours because it "holds him in".

My LO still has it, but its definately not nearly as bad as it was. We still swaddle at night using the miracle blanket.

I don't think I have seen DS do that in about a month.  Glad they outgrow that!

I'm still waiting for DS to outgrow it. The Woombie isn't even tight enough for him. I feel so bad for him, it wakes him up a lot. Hopefully it will taper off soon!
