Baby Showers

Centerpeice idea

This is not for a baby shower but you ladies are pretty good at creative ideas so I thought I would ask your opinion.

I am having a pretty large Christening party for my son, about 100 people on the guest list and I was thinking up centerpiece ideas.   I was thinking about getting different sized glass containers and putting different colored candies in them and then putting a scoop and baggies on the table with a cute note that says basically fill it up and take some home as a type of favor.

Has anyone done this for a wedding or anything? Do you have a cute saying I can leave on the tables?

TIA

Re: Centerpeice idea

  • A friend of mine had a jelly bean bar at her wedding, but I can't remember what the card said, sorry.

  • Is the party anywhere close to Easter?  Jellybeans would be cute and probably somewhat inexpensive.  Since all the Easter candy is out you have a lot of options with jellybeans, m&ms, etc in pretty pastel colors.

Anyway, I'm sure you've thought about what kind of candy you want.  I think it's a great/cute idea and I wanted something similar for my wedding but reception site wouldn't let us bring in our own food.

If you don't want the extra expense of glass jars, scoops, you could just do favor bags of jellybeans.  Good luck..
