Pregnant after 35

Really nervous about this NLT...

So, I think because I am so much older than the first time that I had my kiddos, I'm worrying so much more about so many more things.  You'd think the older we got, the less we would worry knowing so much more.  It feels like everyone around me is suffering losses, Chiari III deformations or Downs...I'm super nervous about this NLT, as hubby and I don't see eye to eye on what we would do if there are issues.  Just looking for comfort I guess..

Thanks in advance,

Katie

  • i was very nervous as well.  the actual procedure itself is not hard the u/s was great and its fun to watch because the baby seems so much bigger at 13 wks then it did when i had my confirmation u/s at 8 wks.

the hard part was the waiting.  i think.  sorry to hear that you and dh are not in agreement about what to do if there are issues.

thoughts and prayers to you. good luck

  • It's natural to worry--I was so worried the day of the scan that I felt like I couldn't breathe.  I'm 40 and I expected a lot of doom and gloom but instead they were very positive and encouraging.  DH say that worry is interest paid on money before it's due.  Easier said than done, I know.  That said, try not to worry about what you would do if something's wrong unless/until something's wrong.  Hopefully nothing will be wrong and you won't have to go down that road.
