did you also have to do blood work with it?

I did the collection on Sunday and took it in Monday morning. I got a bunch of calls yesterday from the lab and could not understand what the guy was saying. I think he said I needed to do some blood work. I called the afterhours line to ask them and they said I had no orders in the system for blood work.

I have an appointment today to see if I can getting put on bedrest so I am sure they will tell me then but I was just curious.

When we picked up the jug they did not give us very good directions so who knows...

A 24hr urine collection always has to have blood work to go with it. They measure the levels in the urine against the blood levels to determine the correct amounts. HTH!

Yes, I got blood drawn when I dropped off the "sample"...It goes with the test.

Same as PP.  When you drop the urine off they have to do bloodwork right afterwards.

Same here (all 5 times) as PP.  Sorry that happened...24 hour collections are aggravating enough as it is.

Yep, when I dropped off my jug I had the blood work done.

Same for me, I give blood when I drop my jug off.  But I usually time it when I have an appointment so I am there anyways.

Agree with PP - for sure need the bloodwork done once you drop it off. Might not want to hear this but you probably will need to do the whole test again.  I don't think it would be valid if you did the bloodwork today.
