When to take LO for a walk

I'm from latin america and this is my second winter in my whole life.. so I'm not familiar with winter and babies...But weather is getting better and I would like to go for a walk with the carrier or the stroller. So at what temperature do you think is ok to take the baby out?

TIA

Re: When to take LO for a walk

  • I think that the coldest that we have taken LO out was around -10.  She was bundled up with baby legs under her pants, socks, boots, a diaper shirt with a long sleeve shirt under a sweater and her winter coat with mittens and a hat and she was zipped up inside DH's coat.  The only skin she had showing was her face.

  • Thanks! As we are gettinmg closer to 0C, I want to get out more. So I guess I will be sure to get her warm
  • when it warms up to -3 or -2 I start taking DS out.  It has been +4 this week and we go out everyday to play and walk.  I have taken him out for walks at -10 or so too but really it wasn't that nice out for me.
