Birth Control Pill Question

Hi!

If I started my period today, and start taking the pills today, will I be covered for BC this month, or will a back up be necessary?

I asked when she wrote me the prescription, but it was a month ago, and I forgot.

I am taking the pill in an effort to combat the most raging pms I have ever eaperienced in my life! It was never this bad before!

you will be covered after a week.  I think they say 7 days to be effective if you start on the day your period starts and 1 month if you Sunday start.

I just started Sunday and my GYN said I'm not protected for 2 weeks and to abstain or use condoms religiously!
