Suggestions for game prizes

I finally convinced my sister to let me help out financially. She left me in charge of finding prizes for the games planned. There are 4 individual games planned and 1 table game. The table game is "What is in Mommy's purse" & each table seats 10 people. My shower is this upcoming Saturday so I need to come up with the prizes fairly quickly. I have one prize already which is a $25.00 gift card to Macy's. It that ok? Or should i scratch that?

What is a good price per prize? Suggestions pretty please!

What is a good prize for the table game?

Thank you in advance

Re: Suggestions for game prizes

  • $25 seems high to me.  Grab a couple $10 itunes gift cards (if that would be appropriate to the age of the guests), grab a couple boxes of chocolates, and go to Bath and Body Works and look for items under $5.  Maybe even a couple of reasonably priced bottles of wine.  Wine and chocolate always make great gifts!
  • $10 gift cards are fine...and even that could be for one of the "bigger" prizes.  At my DD's shower they gave scratch off lottery tickets (5 dollar ones per each prize).  Keep in mind more than one person might win a game.  I know at my DD's shower they had extras and only one set of tickets were left...which the hostess gave to my DD and she won $5.  lol  One guest won $200 though!

  • Most showers I've been to have the "prizes" less than $20

Starbucks gift card, candle, cute notecard, bath products

  • I think my shower hosts are having 4 $25 Visa gift cards as prizes for the games/door prizes, potted spring bulbs for the table prizes, and cookies for the favors. That seems like a lot? I think I'm ok with it (and my hosts as well) - we all have shower guilt to some extent.

  • I got some full size candles from Bath and Body Works when they were having their Semi Annual sale.. think they were like $5 each.

    Lilypie Second Birthday tickers
  • I usually do gift cards - and $10-15 max depending on the number of games and the number of guests.  Cards to Jamba Juice, Starbucks, itunes, etc are always well received.
Nobody said life would be easy, they just promised it would be worth it.

I always stock up on stuff during those sales. I am going to raid my present stash. TY for the idea
