How do you organize LO's shoes?

Suddenly I feel like K has more shoes than I do and that they are EVERYWHERE. We had been keeping them on top of the armoire in her room because it's within easy reach and out of the way.

But, I'm hoping for some ideas on how to better organize them. I can't have a hanging shoe organizer in her closet because her closet is so narrow and she has two hanging bars right on top of each other. Any other ideas?

We put a shelf and second hanging bar in Payton's closet (wide/shallow) -- so all her little shoes are lined up on that shelf and right where I can see them.

Not sure if I'm explaining it well -- here is a picture of her closet after we finished the shelf and rod.

I've also seen people put them in basket under the crib.  I don't think I would like that, because you can't see what you have, but it's another storage option.

That is a good idea about the shelf. We have one of those in K's closet so that is an option. I'm also thinking about getting one of those shoe shelves for the bottom of the closet, since we have some room down there?

Here is what I'm talking about. Her closet is the smallest in the house. Then again, we don't have big closets since our little house is 60 years old.

A shoe shelf would be good idea -- they have ones with little cubbies that are stackable.  I think the only thing I wouldn't like about a shoe shelf on the floor is that they're kind of tall and might take away from some of your hanging space on the bottom rack.  KWIM?
