HCG Levels ...

in 1st Trimester

I just had my first blood test to confirm pregnancy ... my hcg levels are at 512, which is slightly low.  I had a miscarriage back in december and im scared its not high enough?!  wondering what others levels were at with their first blood test?

    Depends on how many days past ovulation you are. My first blood test was only in the 100's...a few days later it was in the 2000's!

    You're ticker says your a 5w & 5d. Are you sure that's accurate? Did you maybe ovulate later than you thought?

    You could request a repeat beta to see if your levels are rising properly.

    I just had my first blood test on Friday to confirm also and my hcg levels were at 243.5, they said that was normal for being 4 weeks along from lmp.  The level doubles every 24 - 48 hours.  Keep your head up, how far along are you?

    I go back in, in 48 hours to see if levels are rising properly.   

    my last period was jan 13th ... i used online calculators to figure out my dates!?  i could be wrong but im pretty positive that was the date?

    You probably just ovulated late. (very normal) I didn't ovulate until 70 days into my cycle.

    Unless you charted your dates might be a bit off.  Hoping for doubling betas for you!

    I would't worry too much, I'll tell you my story.  I had an ectopic my last pregnancy so I was very worried this time around to have to once again deal with Hcg levels.  My first blood test came back at 217 when I was 4 weeks 3 days or 15 DPO.  I went back 1 week later and I jumped up to 6500!  Everything is going really well and I'm now 8 weeks 3 days. :)  Good luck sweetie!!!

    Everyones Beta numbers are always different.  If your concerned talk to your Dr. again, I know it's so hard not to worry.  I've been spotting this weekend and paged my Dr. a million times.  I listed my Betas below but everyone is different!  GL and try not to worry to much!

    My Betas were as follows:

    Beta#1 100

    Beta#2 208

    Beta#3 379

    Beta#4 1,042

    Beta#5 tomorrow
