My friend called a few hours ago because her daycare provider can't watch her DD today. And since she has to take off a TON of time to take her DD to be tested for a million things to figure out what the cause of her seizures are, she was in a bind. Soooo, her DD's here. DD is older than Mitch but behavior and physically at about a 1 year old level. No words, lots of sign language (thank goodness, although I only remember a few basics like eat, drink, milk please and thank you) and not able to do things like climb into a chair or up onto the couch by herself.
I'm SOOO happy to help my friend out. I rememeber how much it sucks to have to take time off for sick kids/no daycare/etc. And for her its a million times worse because she literally takes off about 5 weeks of work a year just for testing for her DD.... But I'm SOO nervous that:
A. Something is going to happen because my house is really no longer baby proofed...like she falls down the stairs, or pulls something down on herself. Obviously I'm watching her like a hawk, but still!
B. That she has a seizure. I know that is likely going to happen since she has them almost daily and always right after nap time. But I'm REALLY hoping it isn't today! On top of it...if it is today, I hope they are the short and sweet because there is special rectal medication that I will have to administer if they last over 12 minutes!!!
Cross your fingers for me today!!!
