lol. they are such little sponges at this age!  yeah, dd explained the difference between lichen and moss to me last fall.  I thought, what?    now she's all about the planets. knows the names of all of them and that they are in the solar system.  dh is a scientist.  He's constantly showing them things (esp when related to microbiology).  I'm gonna have trouble keeping up with the 3 of them soon. lol.
