How funny, I just made this for dinner last night. My DH liked it a lot more than I did. I thought it was a tad salty (I used kosher as the recipe called for). I think I would have liked it a lot more with less salt.
I made this same recipe over the weekend and I thought it was "eh" but DH loved it. Did you broil at the end like Ina suggested? I didn't and the breadcrumbs were super mushy.

The saltiness can also depend on the shrimp you use. If it is treated with tri-poly, that is built in salt. I used chem-free shrimp.

Re: NPR: If you like shrimp, make this recipe!
I think my backfat just yelled at me.
This made me spit water all over my computer screen.
LMAO!

Yes, I broiled.
