2 sacs but no HB yet, ?

Last week I went in for my normal 1st apt. They did the normal blood work, confirmed PG test & a quick U/S. My Ob told me that it still might be early to see the HB (I was 6 week & 3days). When he took a look all he said is the my EDD is 10/10 & that their are 2 sacs but no HB yet.

With my last pregnancy they found our twins early & we saw the HB's at 6 weeks. I lost baby A at 7 weeks 2days.

So I'm worried that either my dates are off, or that this pregnancy will end up in a miscarriage. We should have seen the HB's by now right? I'm scared, I don't want to looses these baby(possibly babies). I was very painful last time.

I guess that i'm looking for reassurance that everything will be ok.

A day can make a huge difference. For me, we had one faint HB at 6w2d, at 6w4d we had a second faint HB. Did the OB say anything about you coming back in later this week for a another u/s?

My next u/s is at 8 weeks & 6 days. That's why i'm stressing out.

I know exactly how you feel- just keep praying.  I had a miscarrige 3 years ago and we were unable to coneive on our own.  We were sucessful with our first round of IUI (we were very lucky) however, when I went for my first u/s at 6 weeks they saw 3 sacs but only 2 heartbeats.  They told me I had to wait 2 weeks and believe me it was the longest 2 weeks ever.  Every day counts so just stay patience and try to relax...even though I know its hard.  Kepp us posted.

Don't stress, it's totally normal.  You're early.  I didn't get heartbeats until my 2nd u/s either - maybe 7 weeks?  Hang in there.

at our first US there were just 2 gestational sacs - no fetal pole, no yolk sacs... i was so worried it was 2 blighted ovums - but just 3 days later everything was there includign heartbeats.  Each day makes a HUGE difference that early on.  They could be off on your actual due date/length of pg so far- so try not to stress... in the 6th week is when the hearts start.  Prayers that your next US goes well- keep us posted!

At 6w0d, my doctor could only see 1 sac and thought I may be 5 days behind.  I was sure the sac stopped growing, and I was going to miscarry.  At 7w2d, I was able to see two babies, two HB!  Every day makes such a difference.  I know it is going to be a stressful two weeks, but try to relax - you can still see a HB at your next appointment.
