QOTD: I think they will probably have one whether you try to prevent it or not. I had my baby blanket and thumb....my nephew has his pillowcase and a stuffed lamb toy...I don't know...I think all kids gravitate towards something. I don't see it as as a bad thing...just worried about breaking the habit when they get older.
Update: Nothing new! I have my 32 week growth scan on Thursday and am excited to reach that milestone.
QOTD: I am sure my boys will each pick something to have as their security item, I had a stuffed lamb and a blanket; my husband had a stuffed rabbit. We both outgrew them at appropriate ages. Anything that helps them self-soothe works for me!
QOTD: I wanted DD to have a lovie but she changed lovies and now it attched to her baby blankets. I will let the boys choose their own lovies. I am with PP if it sooths them and makes them comfortated, i am not worried about them having it when they are too old.
Update: Had OB appt on Friday. Both babies are now completely breech (Baby Boy on my left, Baby Girl on my right). Cervix holds strong at 5+cm. HRs both ~140. Belly measuring 32w. I go back in 2 weeks for another check and my glucose test. I go in 3 weeks for a growth scan.
QOTD: Yes. We did with DD (although we're going to have to break the paci habit eventually), and will with the twins. Every baby needs one thing that's constant. Just make sure to always have a spare or two around!
Update: At our 24 week appt Twin B is measuring a week behind Twin A, and B has low amniotic fluid, and restricted cord flow. So I was put on bedrest, and have been doing good- laying on my side and drinking enough water to float away. We go back this week the recheck the AFI (amniotic fluid) levels, as well as the cord flow. We are saying many many prayers that this is much improved and I can stay at home on bedrest. Otherwise, if it's any worse, I'll be in the hospital on bedrest. Boo!
QOTD: Honestly, I haven't even thought of it! If they become attached to an object or something for security, then that's fine.

Had a growth scan friday. Baby A was 2 lbs 13 oz and Baby B was 2 lbs 10 oz and cervix was 3.2 cm and closed.
QOTD: Yes. I think its important to have something to comfort them.
Update: Went into L&D triage yesterday, I started experiencing light cramps, which is unusual for me and my Dr. said to come in just to be safe, even though I knew it was probably nothing serious. Turned out I had a mild UTI, got some antibiotics, the babies were checked (A is breech, B is transverse), my cervix is 4 cm (one cm shorter than it was 1.5 weeks ago), but they said that is still really great for 32 weeks. The most important thing is that my FFN test came back NEGATIVE!!! I feel 100% better today, probably mostly mental, but I'll take it, even if it is only for today.
QOTD: I won't encourage security items, but I won't stand in their way as long as the item is safe for them to sleep with, etc. I never had any particular items, my sister had a particular doll. We'll see what the boys find for themsleves.
Update: The boys will be here March 1st via c section
I can't wait to meet them. As of about three weeks ago, they were 5lbs each! Talk about big babies 
QOTD: I really haven't thought about that. But if they find something I won't get in their way as long as it is safe.
Update: I have a growth u/s on Wednesday. I am excited to see how the twinlets are growing
QOTD: I think with two there will have to be some self soothing. I think we will try soothie pacifiers until I can hopefully get the tandem bf down, my goal, and I see nothing wrong with a luvie, my mom bought a pink and blue bear luvie for when the twinlets are older that are very cute
I think the key with pacifiers is weaning them off of them before they are old enough to know better. But I am no expert, lol.
No new updates which is good news I suppose:) I have my next 23 wk. appt. March 17th as well as my first growth scan U/S.
DD #1 loved her paci and gave it to the Binky Fairy at 2 yrs. Although she was very attached to it at sleeping times she actually let it go very well after a few rougher nights. DD #2 didn't like the paci but does love sucking her thumb and her blankie. She's 2 now and the thumbsucking is impossible to take away but she only does it at naptime and bedtime so I think she'll grow out of it naturally. I will probably encourage a paci to the twins but we will see what they take to:)
