So we're having a big party for Andrew in the spring. We rented a shelter at the park near our house so we can do it outside.
The idea was that we could celebrate:
-1 year adjusted birthday (his real birthday was 12/30 and we didn't feel comfortable having a lot of people around so it was only immediate family), April 6th
-his 1 year NICU homecoming, April 24th
-the end of RSV season successfully without getting sick, and we'll be "free" from lockdown
-Wanting to meet friends/family since he hasn't met a lot of them
Soooo if I wanted to send invitations out, I don't even know what to write! It would be an open house style I think - pitch in.
How would I word it?
Any cute ideas?
Re: *ideas* please!!
Our Andrew has come a long way, it's true!
So many things to celebrate and here are a few:
He never got sick, not even a cold!
And our guy's adjusted age is now one year old!
We've been on lockdown, so he may not have met
A few friends and family - but we didn't forget!
So if you know him already, come and stop by
If you haven't met him, please come say Hi!
HOPE THIS HELPS A LITTLE WITH IDEAS!
loving this!!
Me too - how creative!!! I think something along these lines would be great...maybe include a photo of Andrew in the NICU, along with a current photo?
We are thinking of having a "real" birthday party for M&W on or around their due date, too, so I'm anxious to see how these invitations turn out!
That is too adorable!!!
i love the rhyming idea! SO cute!
Looking forward to seeing pics of his big celebration!
I LOVE this!!!
Could that be any more perfect? I wish we'd had that for a coming out party last year.

I love this! Are you some kind of poet that none of us knew about
Hahaha, nope, I just like writing silly little poems like this one. That's about the limit of my artistic creativity. Give me a paper and crayons, and I'll give you something a three year old would be embarrassed about
I LOVE this too. Very creative!
