Usually 10%. I work in a restaurant and that is more than acceptable.

Highly unlikely that they will share. Restaurant servers make around $3/hr plus tips and the kitchen staff is paid about $8-$10 and up.

I ran a chain rest that did carside to go. Those servers made 2.13 an hour. I would tip 15% if you can afford it, I think they were happy with 10%, though.
So what about if you pick up food from a restaurant that's not specifically carside to go. My coworker ordered lunch for a group yesterday and sent me to pick it up. Was I supposed to tip?

You should. The server takes the time to put the order together for you, and depending on the size of the order, that can take a lot of time. 10% is always appreciated.

This is pretty much what I was thinking. I assuming (hoping) they'll share it with the kitchen staff.
